As a Manager of Statutory Accounting at Latham, you will be expected to support the global firm by using your experience and understanding of generally accepted accounting principles, cash based reporting, partnership accounting, foreign exchange, and financial modeling to maintain and monitor financial reports according to various statutory requirements. The Manager will directly interact with the firm’s tax department personnel and local office accounting management while accomplishing these and other critical functions:

    • Using a deep understanding of all areas of finance/accounting including billing, cash collection/posting, procurement, voucher control, voucher payments, fixed assets, intercompany, reconciliations, general ledger entry, financial reporting, and budgeting in evaluating and improving statutory accounting practices and reporting
    • Managing statutory financial reporting processes among the firm’s key financial system and local systems to ensure accuracy and compliance to statuary requirements
    • Analyzing statutory ledgers for various countries and monitoring reconciliation between firm-wide reporting and statutory reporting by legal entity
    • Supporting the firm’s global accounting practice by researching financial system capabilities and testing general ledger system setups changes
    • Collaborating with the broader finance management team on initiatives, including year-end reporting and new report development
    • Promoting effective work practices, working as a team member, and showing respect for co-workers

    As a Manager of Statutory Accounting, you will be expected to apply your organizational and communication skills while displaying a positive, high-energy attitude. The successful Manager of Statutory Accounting must have experience and knowledge of both accrual and cash accounting principles, including principles impacting partnerships, and the ability to understand foreign currency and its impact on global reporting. The ability to understand system configurations and how they impact financial and statutory reporting is desired. The Manager must have a strong knowledge and proficiency of PC applications, including MS Office, with superior proficiency specifically of MS Excel. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field is required, with an MBA or CPA preferred. A minimum of ten (10) years of related experience in a professional services environment is desired. A minimum of five (5) years of related experience in financial reporting is desired. A minimum of four (4) years of supervisory/management experience is desired. Occasional travel will be required.     MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    EDUCATION:

    • Valid medical license (within state working)
    • Valid DEA License
    • CPR Certifications
    • Medical Examiners Certification for DOT physicals (ME certification may be acquired within the first 30 days of employment)

    EXPERIENCE:

    • Minimum 1 year applicable experience in acute/urgent care, family practice or emergency department setting
    • Experience in pediatrics (ages 6 months and up)
    • Experience with electronic health records preferred
    • Experience supervising advanced practitioners preferred
    • Ability to work weekends and holidays
