    DESCRIPTION:

    Patricio Enterprises (PE) is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a Quality Control Specialist position in support of an upcoming proposal for Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Distribution. The Quality Control Specialist is responsible for the development and management of the quality program for the contract.  This position operates in a professional warehouse executing the following tasks:  administrative and reporting functions, receiving, issue, shipment preparation, local delivery, warehousing, inventory control, transportation, packaging, special functions, material processing center (MPC) operations, customer service support, warehousing of small boats and landing aircraft, management and distribution functions in support of shipyard detachments. 

    PRIMARY DUTIES WILL INCLUDE (BUT NOT LIMITED TO):

    • Possess the knowledge and skills required to plan and manage quality control in support of the tasks listed above.
    • Provide supervision for Quality Control Evaluators assigned to this position.
    • Identify and resolve quality issues by implementing preventative and corrective actions.
    • Provide technical advisory services such as evaluating systems, analyzing data, and establishing quality control procedures.
    • Performs quality control surveillances of processes, procedures, and conformance to contract requirements.
    • Develop audit schedule to be performed to ensure compliance against contract requirements.
    • Assists in the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions in lieu of existing Government procedures.
    • Responsibility for the timely submission of error free reports to PE Corporate and the Government Client.
    • Execute cost saving factors and quality controls to ensure work is performed as scheduled and at a fair and reasonable cost.
    • Constant evaluation of operations to propose improvements to the operation that may result in cost savings or avoid re-work.
    • Daily use of the following warehouse management systems (WMS): DLA Distribution Defense Standard System (DSS) and Navy Material Access Technology (MAT) system to validate processes performed IAW SOPs and Audit Readiness Internal Controls.

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

    • Possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent and a minimum of three (3) years’ experience in the Quality Control field in a warehouse/distribution environment.
    • May be required to attend and pass education classes associated with the position.
    • Must have minimum of intermediate computer skills. This role requires using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Knowledge of all MS office programs.
    • Must be able to lift, carry, move, push, pull up to 40 pounds unassisted and be willing to wear all required safety equipment.
    • Knowledge of OUSD AT&L Audit Readiness (FIAR) guidance is preferred.
