    Lean Supervisor - Spokane/Airway Heights

    LEAN SUPERVISOR

    Lead and develop the people and processes associated with company wide Lean implementation.   Develop and ensure the execution of activity leading to Exotic as a World Class Lean organization.   Build and refine processes and capability to ensure overall manufacturing system excellence.

     

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Support and participate in the development of the Lean Vision for the company
    • Train and Ensure the daily execution of Lean activities by the Lean staff
    • Develop and execute effective communication strategies to engage the company in Lean
    • Identify Lean implementation opportunities and implement improvements
    • Conduct Value Stream Mapping and similar studies to eliminate waste and optimize facilities
    • Establish Kaizen / Kata process and ensure execution to meet company goals
    • Develop Lean training programs for manufacturing personnel and leadership
    • Develop and improve production workflow and methods
    • Assist with the planning and directing of equipment layout
    • Proactively develop and maintain effective working relationships with and between all departments
    • Maintain a hands on presence with employees on the production floor
    • Effectively manage costs and identify opportunities for increased efficiencies.
    • Improve process quality ensuring quality at the source
    • Develop tools and communication channels to ensure customer demand visibility and order fulfillment
    • Ensure success of factory execution to short term objectives and build capability for greater future success
    • Lead with humility and respect every individual

    Required Skills Required Experience

    FULLY PROFICIENT QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
    • 3 years previous leadership experience with direct reports
    • 7 years experience in manufacturing environment
    • 5 years demonstrated expertise in tools such as: VSM, Kaizen, 3P, Pull Systems, TOC, DMAIC, Cellular Manufacturing, and SPC
    • High level of emotional intelligence
    • Wide degree of creativity
    • Deep process orientation and strong problem solver
  • Qualifications
    • Strong knowledge of design, trends, construction methodology, material application, and manufacturer-supplier appropriateness. 
    • Advanced knowledge of architectural building systems.
    • Thorough understanding of project work plans, schedules, staffing, and budgets.
    • Thorough knowledge of buildingSMART, Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Integrated Project Delivery (IDP).
    • Advanced knowledge of sustainability, integrated design and LEED guidelines.   
    • Ability to manage multiple projects of a complex scope. 
    • Proficiency in AutoCAD/Architectural Desktop preferred.
    • Proficiency in Primavera or MS Project preferred.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Proficiency in 3D Modeling software such as 3D Studio Max and Viz 2006 preferred.
    • Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketchup, and InDesign graphic software preferred.
    • Proficiency in Revit required.
    • Proficiency in Deltek Vision preferred.
    • Proficiency in NewForma preferred.
    • Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
    • Ability to work in team environment.
    • Ability to effectively meet deadlines.
