    The Experienced Commercial Development Program (ECDP) is GE Appliances' development program for experienced, high potential, marketing and sales professionals seeking to accelerate career growth through a structured program involving challenging assignments, learning opportunities and special projects. An ECDP summer associate internship provides candidates the opportunity to work on a challenging project over the course of 10-12 weeks, and is based out of our global headquarters in Louisville, KY. The ECDP summer associate internship program is the primary means for selection for full-time ECDP Associates.

    HOW YOU'LL CREATE POSSIBILITIES

    ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

    ECDP is built upon our strong legacy of renowned training development programs. During a summer with us you can expect to:

    • Receive a challenging, high-impact assignment with our Commercial Team where you put the skills you've been sharpening at Business School to the test

    • Provide recommendations and a final report out to key stakeholders and business leaders

    • Build understanding of GEA's Micro-Enterprise structure and gain exposure to key business leaders throughout the company

    • Learn how our products come to life from beginning to end. Learn our process from consumer segmentation, thru concept and prototype testing, to full scale NPI launches

    • Be paired with a mentor who is a current associate or graduate of the ECDP program

    WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO OUR TEAM

    QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

    • 1st Year Student, pursing a Master's in Business Administration (MBA)

    • 3+ years sales or marketing experience

    • Demonstrated achievement and leadership with a passion for marketing and/or sales

    • Excellent communication skills

    • Strong analytical skills

    • Proven ability to embrace change, and work in a highly matrixed organization

    • Legal authorization to work in the United States

    • Geographic mobility within the United States

    DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS

    • Experience in consumer packaged goods, B2B, retail, or advertising

    • Strong customer or consumer advocate
