Our North American Faurecia Clean Mobility Division is looking for an Acquisition Purchasing Leader to support our Commercial Vehicle regional business unit. This position is based out of the Clean Mobility Crossroads site (Technical Center & headquarter of Clean Mobility Division North America) in Columbus, IN. The Acquisition Buyer is responsible for anticipating the specific requirements for new program acquisitions (supplier technologies, geographical location and target costs), and to ensure the commodity panel strategy is appropriate to support the acquisition. As a purchasing member of acquisition team, he/she is integral in the definition of target cost analysis. The role also includes selecting expert suppliers from the agreed supplier panel to achieve acquisition objectives The main missions of the role are: * Participate as a key member of the acquisition team from the offer conception phase, and involve expert suppliers in the business acquisition phase * Provide cost analysis, BOM and system cost feedback to the Acquisition team on various concepts intended to enhance competitiveness * Provide support in make or buy decision by establishing external cost/price comparisons and analyzing impact of decisions on supplier base * Ensure expert supplier selection from the agreed supplier panel as needed * Negotiate and establish the appropriate cost structure to support the program objectives * Manage specific mandated suppliers * Participate in Global Acquisitions supporting the team with regional supplier information, costs parameters and providing inputs on local vs. global sourcing strategy * Teardown Analysis {OEM/Competitor Exhaust Systems} * Individual Part costs assessment {full BOM New programs} * Bridge/Influence costing team submission to program team {assess costed BOM prior to program teams 1st quotation to OEM} * Establish more precise Full BOM costs for 2nd/3rd round quotation to the OEMs to include but not limited to: * Teardown part measurement & cost estimation * Where applicable - New technology component quotation with viable suppliers * Quotation of a representative sample of Program BOM {~ 12 Parts} * 5 Large including deep drawn {Baffles/Heatshields} * 3 Brackets * 2 Tubes * 1 Insulation & 1 Mat * 1 complex {e.g. NOx Wheel} * Accountable for final acquisition {full BOM} cost model submission to the CBU The ideal candidate will have/be : Minimum Education Level: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or Business. Nice to have: Professional Purchasing Qualification Experience : * Minimum 3 years experience in Purchasing in an industrial environment * Experience of successfully managing and negotiating contracts Nice to have: Experience as Program Buyer Skills and competencies : * Competent in Octoplus cost analysis * CAD & other Engineering design systems * Knowledge of supplier cost structures * Knowledge of dedicated products design, development and launch processes * Fluent in English * Good communication skills and results oriented * International mindset * Ability to work in a matrix organization * Strong organization/analytical skills, project management skills and attention to detail Nice to have * Knowledge of APQP * Another language depending on the region * Commitment to the highest ethical standards and willingness to adhere to Faurecia's Code of Ethics and Code of Management More about the Purchasing business family
