Fender Musical Instruments Corporation ("FMIC") has an opportunity for a full-time Artist Marketing Intern during Fall 2018 located in Hollywood, CA. The Artist Marketing Intern is a driven and passionate individual who is familiar with the Fender brand and the general music landscape. He/she must have a passion for the musical process and a desire to further his/her understanding of marketing within the music industry. About the Job: Work internally on artist marketing initiatives that support Fender artists and further the brand. Assist on projects as needed to further the visibility of Fender Play, strategic New Product Initiatives, and our Fender Core Products. Manage and update the artist roster database, industry calendar and other key artist marketing documents. Support the artist marketing team in big picture brand partnerships by design marketing decks, defining projects scopes, and creating marketing materials as needed. Manage appointment scheduling for various team meetings. Coordinate artist lobby sessions and performances by assisting the project lead. Assist Artist Relations Managers with artist support by delivering artist gear as needed in the Los Angeles area. What you Need: You have knowledge and a passion for Fender products as well as the music industry. You are a guitar and/or bass player. Previous music industry internship experience is preferred. You have strong social and communication skills and are able to represent Fender in a professional manner Need to be able to work with cross-functional teams and be able to multi-task at a fast pace in an ever-changing environment. Understanding of current music trends. Computer skills: Word, Excel, & PowerPoint proficient.
