SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develops embedded software for electronic controls for Kearfott's range of electromechanical devices: actuators and brushless DC (BLDC) motors, in the aerospace and defense markets.
• Works with cross functional technical engineering team on ensuring software requirements are full understood and implemented.
• Conducts design, analysis, and test of software subsystems following defined software development processes.
• Performs software development and integration using cross-compilation tool sets and simulation tools as well as hardware instrumentation such as digital logic analyzers.

Required Skills

REQUIREMENTS

• BS/MS in Computer Science.
• 7+ years of related experience within embedded software engineering in aerospace, or another high assurance environment.
• Experience with DO-178 and DO-254 standards.
• Strong communication abilities, both written and verbal, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in C, Python.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the US, visa sponsorship not available.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or be a U.S. Permanent Residence Card Holder.
