    Summer Intern * * Job Tracking ID: 512183-648911 * Location: Geneva, IL * Job Type: Internship Job Description: FONA International offers a summer internship program for college students with the goal of providing professional, business experience while they develop themselves and pursue their college degree. Generally, the internship season is for 10 - 12 weeks between the last week of May and the third week of August with students returning back to school at the end of the internship season to continue their college pursuit. Interns follow a rigorous program that includes the completion of certain assigned projects in addition to their regular duties, serving on FONAs Employee and Family Picnic Committee, volunteering at least one day at a local charitable organization, attending lunch and learns with senior management and assisting with our Take Your Child to Work Day. At the end of the summer, interns present their learnings to FONA management and receive performance reviews to ensure their learnings have been mutually beneficial to them and to FONA. New interns are required to submit their resume and cover letter along with their stated desired position and planned college degree. Interviews are required. Internship offers are contingent upon passing a pre-employment drug and background screen. All internships are paid positions. FONA is currently accepting applications for summer 2019. There are limited number of positions available each summer. Applications will be reviewed in December and phone interviews scheduled with qualified candidates based on area of study, available work experience, and FONA's areas of need for the summer. Experience and Skills: Eligibility: To be considered for an internship position, one must be currently enrolled in an accredited college and be available to work at FONA, Monday through Friday during the internship season. Selection Criteria: FONA extends internships to developing professional college students who are seeking their associates or bachelors degree in areas including but not limited to business, accounting, marketing, food science, biology and engineering. FONAs goal is to provide a safe, educational work experience within a productive environment. Previous interns of FONA International Inc. are encouraged to apply for available positions assuming they performed well in the previous year.
