at our North American headquarters as a Payroll Manager.
Reporting to the Director of Finance & Treasury, the Payroll Manager
will be responsible for all US payrolls, hourly and salaried, including
the Manufacturing Facility, Distribution Warehouses, Sales Force, and
the Corporate Offices. Main duties will include payroll processing,
maintenance of all payroll records and files, verifying all payroll tax
filings including reconciliation to the general ledger and assisting in
both external and internal audits.
Additional Responsibilities include:
- Manages a Payroll Administrator.
- Ensures company complies with all local, state, and federal laws
regarding finances, tax filings, and reporting.
- Ensures company complies with all additional legal and regulatory
requirements regarding payroll processes.
- Prepares pay by verifying time records; calculating and producing
checks or electronic transfers; calculating and producing quarterly
and annual incentive bonuses.
- Balances payroll accounts by auditing information; identifying and
resolving discrepancies; initiating journal entries.
- Determines payroll liabilities by entering federal and state income
and social security tax information, 401k transfer and direct
deposits, wage assignments and garnishments.
- Manages system integrations and upgrades and works to streamline
processes between the HRIS, Payroll and TIA Systems.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge through educational
workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing
personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices;
participating in professional societies.
- Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for new and
different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to
job accomplishments.
- Coordinates expat programs including tax liability, compliance
and reporting.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business administration
with an emphasis in Accounting, or a related field.
- 5 years’ previous experience as an accountant, accounting
supervisor, manager, or related position.
- Excellent computer skills; experience in payroll software
(Ultipro preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite; additional system
knowledge a plus.
- In-depth understanding of payroll procedures, laws, taxes, and
best practices.
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
- Precise attention to detail.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
- Ability to build relationships, trust, and interface effectively
across multiple organizations and businesses.
- Certified Payroll Professional preferred.
