This position will leverage Fortive best practices, FBS toolset, and personal knowledge and capability to install and improve processes. This role will be based in Marengo, IL. Responsibilities: -Drive improvement in incremental growth and market share results that are tied to Policy Deployment (PD) and Daily Management (DM) by leveraging FBS tools, facilitation and coaching skills, and change management process. -Assist in achieving business unit Policy Deployment and Strategic Plan objectives. -Regularly participate in Daily Management and Problem Solving reviews, provide feedback and engagement to improve the quality and results generated from these activities. -Ensure successful kaizen events by installing and ensuring compliance to the kaizen process This includes: -Planning of kaizens with a dynamic funnel process tied to Management Review and Daily Management, -Kaizen execution -Sustainment of kaizen events and results -Promote and facilitate associate development in various FBS growth and lean tools, including establishing recommended FBS tool skills by role in Thomson Linear. -Directly provide formal and informal FBS training, facilitation and coaching to commercial leaders and associates. -Help Thomson Linear continue the evolution of the FBS tools within their Marengo Facility. -Provides feedback based on personal experience, best practices, and experience/results from processes/tools implemented. -Travel < 10%, mostly domestic. -Qualifications: -Bachelors Degrees in an engineering discipline. -At least 3 years lean experience and experience leading kaizen events. -Black Belt in lean tools. -Creative and progressive thinker with excellent interpersonal skills able to communicate with others at all levels in the organization, in verbal or written form. -The ideal candidate must be hands-on and detail-oriented, but also able to see the big picture. -Must be very customer focused and have strong interpersonal and communications skills. -This person will be high energy and able to handle conflict. -Will be an independent worker, capable of operating in a fast-moving, ever changing environment and able to effectively deal with difficult situations. -Ability to assess key commercial business metrics and situations from a general managers point of view, assess commercial performance and identify areas for focus and improvement. -Ability to learn and master FBS tools. -Superior communications skills. -Superior training skills and adult learning theory/capability. -Must be comfortable training large groups and facilitation in unscripted situations. -Superior consulting/influencing skills. -Good writing and administrative skills, including computer skills (word processing, graphics, spreadsheet, etc.) -Demonstrated proficiency in time and project management, as well as ability to handle priority setting and ability to resolve prioritization conflicts.
