    Job Description

    The International Logistics Manager is responsible for securing drayage capacity to support import operations across all FBIN companies. Working closely with Purchasing to manage delivery expectations of products to distributions centers across North America, while managing and developing carrier relationships and delivering on cost and service measures. Work with Indirect Sourcing to conduct yearly RFP process for drayage/transload markets. Engage with Fowarders and Drayage information system providers to provide visibility of product for service attainment and cost metrics.

    The position calls for an individual who thrives in an operational environment, while also able to work to develop an overall drayage and information system strategy across FBIN.

    This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule (in office Tues, Wed, Thurs) at one of our offices in North Olmsted (OH), Maumee (OH), Oak Creek (WI), Deerfield (IL), New Bern (NC) or Kinston (NC).

    Responsibilties:

    • Build, nurture, and grow existing carrier and distribution center relationships.
    • Work cross-functionally to manage various delivery/service expectations across the organization.
    • Manage external information systems integration with SAP and TMS.
    • Provide weekly/monthly updates to various levels of the organization for key metric attainment.
    • Identify opportunities for service and cost improvements across FBIN
    • Develop deep understanding of FBIN internal/external customer needs and develop carrier capacity and cost strategy for alignment.
    • Provide creative solutions for complex transportation situations as they arise.
    • Be initial Point of Contact for Drayage operations at FBIN.
    • Will be working in Mercury Gate, InforNexus, and SAP
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in logistics operations, specifically in drayage/transload operation services.
    • Drayage carrier management experience preferred.
    • Experience with RFP bids.
    • Possess the ability to multitask within multiple modes of transportation.
    • Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with coworkers, customers, and carriers.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Experience with Microsoft Office Systems, Excel, PowerPoint
    • Experience with Mercury Gate, InforNexus, and SAP preferred
