We are a family-owned company that has been in business since 1935. We are currently looking for a Chemical Lab Intern to work part-time (18-20 hours per week) during the school year. This lab intern position is responsible for providing a variety of technical laboratory services in the development, formulation, testing and evaluation of new, improved and current Franklin products. You'll work with Franklin International's lab staff to: > Test products and raw materials according to prescribed instructions and procedures and using basic test equipment. Read meters, dials, gauges, or scales; perform simple math calculations. >Assist with analysis of written and numerical information developed from product testing and suggest a course of action to senior chemists. > Plan and prioritize a logical sequence of testing, product formulation and lab tasks, based on information from supervisors. Responsible for follow-up on assigned projects. >Suggest solutions to problems with products or product applications. >Make verbal reports about completed testing.
