Responsibilities and Working Conditions:
- Processing (picking + scanning + packing) produce items
- Ensure produce items are of highest quality for our customers
- Safe Food Practices specific to department
- Assist in housekeeping of the department
- Maintain excellent safety, quality, cleanliness, and productivity standards within the distribution warehouse
- Audit product for quality
- Maintain a team player mentality by assisting others when the need arises
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- In a workday: standing/walking 6-10 hours or more
- Hand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling
- Work requires the following motions: bending, twisting, squatting and reaching
- Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals, loud noises, flashing lights
- Constant exposure to temperatures: <-10 degrees Fahrenheit (freezing), 32-40 degrees Fahrenheit (refrigerators)
- Ability to work in a wet and cold environment
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Ability to use tools and equipment, including box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery
- Ability to work in other areas of the business as needed
