    Echologics is currently searching for a System Tester - Quality Assurance for our Toronto Office.

    The System Tester - Quality Assurance is highly motivated, proactive, detail oriented, and possesses strong communication skills. The successful candidate possesses a professional demeanor and ability to work very closely with all cross functional and remote organizations ensuring that the entire Quality Assurance and System Test phase is well orchestrated.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Collaborate with Scrum team to support release planning, estimation, and delivery processes using Agile methodologies.

    • Create detailed test cases, execute manual and automated function, integration, and regression test suites and maintain accurate status.

    • Responsible for defect tracking, communication, and resolution.

    • Drive and help to establish best practices and testing processes to ensure successful new product developments as measured by timeliness and quality.

    • Develop, deploy, and maintain test automation scripts for the purpose of regression testing.

    • Testing all aspects of system including acoustic leak detection algorithms, data networking and communications and user interface.

    • Ability to help, develop, set up, and manage test environments encompassing water distribution infrastructure.

    • May provide customer support when required and ensure timely, accurate, and complete resolution of customer reported items or questions to enhance customer satisfaction.

    • Ability to work closely with hardware, software, firmware, and technical experts to assist in research, test, and development of all Echologics products.

    • Works in compliance with the Mueller Water Products Core Values and Code of Conduct and all Environment, Health and Safety policies and procedures.

    REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

    • BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
    • 3 - 5 years directly applicable Quality Assurance and System Integration experience.
    • Experience with API testing using various tools (Postman, Swagger, REST, SOAP, etc.).
    • Basic SQL Skills to select from tables and use joins etc.
    • Possess test automation skills, experience and/or willingness to learn (Robert Framework, Selenium, Cypress, Python etc.).
    • Familiarity with test case management, bug tracking and other QA tools.
    • Experience working in Agile environment.
    • Able to multitask and adapt quickly to changing priorities. Constant focus on delivering high quality and on-time results.
    • Strong documentation skills and proficient with typical PC office applications.
    • Working knowledge of data networking and communications protocols especially radio and cellular networks is desirable.
    • Knowledge of water transmission and distribution infrastructure and techniques utilized for monitoring pipes or similar industry experience desirable.

    ·         Demonstrate a strong understanding of software development life cycle and Quality Assurance methodologies.

  • Qualifications
    • Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in related engineering field required.
    • Mechanical/electrical background is necessary. Apprenticeship program or technical school background is desirable.
    • Have adequate craft knowledge and skill to accurately estimate labor hours, material requirement and skills needed to complete a job.  Must have a demonstrated ability to visualize and communicate the execution of work.
    • Should have good written and verbal communications skills and have demonstrated the ability to be approachable and tactful.
    • Good math skills and computer skills.
    • Good organizational skills. Demonstrated organizational and planning skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to write and provide simple and accurate instructions.
    • Demonstrated ability to read standard blueprints, machine and process drawings. Have the ability to sketch or redline existing drawings.
    • Knowledge and understands the maintenance processes and proper use of the work order system, planning and scheduling and storeroom processes.
    • Can manage multiple priorities or projects simultaneously and keep them progressing to completion.
    • Must have a repetition which is respected by production, maintenance labor, maintenance management and store personnel.
    • Intermediate or Expert Level knowledge of MS Office Project.
