    We are looking for a qualified candidate that will apply diversified knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and practices to assigned tasks. 

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Responsible for creating, developing and managing current and new product offerings for hydraulic lift product lines.
    • Using specialized mechanical engineering knowledge and experience, identifies, understands, and documents customer or product requirements; develops technical specifications and schematics with other engineering disciplines.
    • Ensures that all products and designs comply with any regulatory or legal requirements.
    • Develops prototypes, test plans, and validations through analysis and testing.
    • Researches and document new technologies; participates in or conducts design reviews.
    • Has responsibility for the mechanical engineering components of a large project or a complex component of a single project.
    • Exhibits influence within a work group; works well with other engineering and technical team members.
    • Interfaces with sales, manufacturing, and supply chain to design and deliver solutions.

    Required Skills

    REQUIRED EDUCATION, LICENSING, AND CERTIFICATIONS:

    • College or university degree from an accredited program in Engineering, Science, or related subject required
    • or equivalent education and/or experience.
    • Courses and seminars required to maintain appropriate certifications.

    Required Experience

    • Working knowledge of parametric 3D modeling including part and assembly creation (Inventor, SolidWorks, SolidEdge, Creo, ProEngineer). Minimum of 1500 hours of active modeling experience.
    • Ability to create, detail, and revise part/assembly drawings with understanding of drawing revision control.
    • Strong knowledge of drafting procedures and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) including part/assembly tolerance analysis for manufacturing.
    • Ability to create detailed Bills of Material (BOMs).
    • Experience with metal fabrication techniques (CNC Machining, welding).
    • Technical documentation creation (work instructions, material specifications, quality policies) and management.

    REQUIRED SOFT SKILLS

    • Demonstrated leadership experience and ability to work autonomously.
    • Ability to articulate technical concepts to wide variety of audiences.
    • Innovative problem solving ability.

    BONUS EXPERIENCE:

    • Revision control of documents and CAD files using a vault software.
    • Understanding of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)
    • Working knowledge of Enterprise resource planning (ERP) with ability to create BOMs and Routings.
    • Drafting experience in 2D or 3D AutoCAD.
    • Basic knowledge of quality control programs (API or ISO) plus practical application in a manufacturing environment.
    • Lean manufacturing and process improvement
    • Value Analysis engineering (cost reductions in parts or processes)
