We are looking for a full time Aviation Systems Test Engineer Intern to learn and train to conceive, plan, design, implement, and report on broad system level tests for complex integrated avionics systems that span several multi-disciplinary functions at our headquarters in Olathe, Kansas. In this role, youll also be responsible for anticipating, specifying, planning, and developing test methods, including test automation tools. Other essential functions include: Write system level test plans that clearly explain test objectives and detail test steps Execute test plans Report test results in writing (and orally as needed) Learn how to use the data logging capabilities for development programs and analyze collected data as needed Learn the hardware and software tools used by the team. Identify and make improvements for quality, efficiency, and scalability of the test team services as needed Qualified candidates will possess Completed coursework in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent education or experience with a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA. Other qualifications will include: Experience and/or training in working with cross functional teams Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Must be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude and work well with others Driven problem solver with proven success in solving difficult problems Previous experience working with avionic products and a 3.5 cumulative GPA are highly preferred!
