Our office in Jefferson, WI *HUB) is seeking an Intern - Supply Chain/ Operations. In this challenging role, you will focus on duties directed from the Supply Chain and Corporate Operations Leadership team. You will be collecting and analyzing data in a structured approach to be used for inventory improvement and planning that will help maintain a high customer-service level and reduce variable costs. Responsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Assist in the documentation of the key material Characteristics. Assist with data collection; Assist in measuring and updating data; Evaluate and analyze data to report on progress of programs as well as provide recommendations for improvement; Support material planning process Manage the qualification of materials through the total cost of ownership process. Qualifications Basic Qualifications: Currently pursuing a Bachelors degree The ability to work full-time during the summer and 15-20 hours during the school year, preferred. Preferred Qualifications: Microsoft office experience (including Excel) Understanding of weights and measurements including analytical skills ; Proficient oral and written communication skills PHYSICAL DEMANDS : Production Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee frequently is required to use hands to manipulate objects, tools or controls; and talk and hear. The employee is regularly required to walk; stoop; crouch; bend and reach above shoulders. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance, waist high, up to 10 feet away. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be working in the typical conditions of a manufacturing environment including seasonal variation in temperatures and occasional exposure to manufacturing fumes or by-products. The employee must comply with the assigned location PPE requirements including but not limited to safety glasses, hearing protection, appropriate gloves, clothing and shields for required tasks and closed toed or safety shoes as required by facility safety policies.
