    JOB SUMMARY: Interns will be provided thoughtful opportunities to observe and participate in real-world examples of their in-class studies which includes various tasks and support of the finance department’s systems, processes, and daily activities.

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

    • Assist Cost Accounting team with daily/monthly close activities

    • Assist with month-end financial book preparation

    • Assist general ledger team with monthly close activities

    • Process accounts payable invoices and related credit/debit memos

    • Other duties and projects as assigned

     

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

    • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's program with an emphasis in Accounting or Finance

     

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

    • Sophomore year status or higher

     

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

    • Microsoft Excel experience

    • Conscientious, self-motivated worker with attention to detail

    • Ability to work independently and in a group setting

    • Dependable and organized

     

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls.  The employee is regularly required to stand and walk.  On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders.  The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Specific conditions of this job include are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision and ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel.
