    The Network Analyst II is a contributor in the implementation and administrate Global Enterprise technologies for Voice & Data Networks, Telephony, Remote Access and Infrastructure management services.  This role is responsible to aid with technical support for moderately complex network analysis and design activities at the guidance of their Manager. This position will assist in the review/assessment of enterprise needs and may conduct feasibility studies for projects and may assist in the evaluation and selection of global equipment standards. This team member is responsible primarily for the assessment and optimization of Network and Communication platforms through review and assessment of enterprise needs. They are also responsible for developing requests for proposal, evaluating vendor products, and making recommendations on selection. This team member may function in a position providing guidance, direction to other IT enterprise functions. Timely completing company training, this individual will become thoroughly familiar with all compliance, regulatory and security requirements adhering to all corporate policies and standards. Additionally, the analyst will focus on sustainability and improvement of processes.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Provide second tier technical support to global business units and its other information technology teams to resolve network issues and to support the implementation of new network project.  Support network activity related to merger and acquisitions projects. 
    • Collaborate with external/internal customers and Global IT teams to analyze information needs and functional network requirements.
    • Maintains network security and ensures compliance with security policies, patching and procedures.
    • Evaluate, review and if appropriate, implement recommendations for improvements to existing network procedures and documentation for efficient and cost-effective delivery of highly available network services
    • Resolve incident response and service request tickets as they arise and ensure timely resolution
    • Ability to travel among other facilities and global locations as required.
    • Document and monitor global network infrastructure with available tools.
    • Serve as lead network support and remote hands for local location, Vermont, to assist Global IT teams as required.
    • Researching and learning about current trends of global network technologies within the industry.
    • Conform with all company policies and procedures
    • Work off hours to support the needs of the business during projects or production outage situations

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience
    • 3 years of experience of participating in major networking project as analyst, architect or technical lead;

     

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

    • Experience working with international networks and service providers
    • Experience with server and storage technologies
    • Experience managing Firewalls with at least one of the following technologies: Cisco ASA w/ Fire Power, Palo Alto w/ WildFire, or Juniper SRX, Checkpoint or Fortinet standard management
    • Experience with packet capture, eg, Wireshark, Splunk and log analysis products
    • Experience with network monitoring tools, eg SolarWinds Orion, Whats Up Gold, Nagios and ScienceLogic
    • Experience with IP Management/DHCP tools
    • Experience working with Microsoft Domain technologies (Active Directory, DHCP, DNS)

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

    • Expert level knowledge in at least two of the following area: Major routing protocols EIGRP, OSFP, BGP This includes advanced routing techniques such as Policy Based Routing, VRF, and QoSo Campus network switching design and configuration including FHRPs, VSS, vPC, VTP, Multicast, and Spanning Treeo SD-WAN (Viptela/Cisco preferred). WAN site to site connections (MPLS, ELAN, VPN, IPSEC, P2P). SDWAN configuration, troubleshooting, and design (Silver Peak, Aryaka, Cisco, Citrix). Cloud data center network configuration, troubleshooting, and design (AWS, Azure, Google). Network Access Control (Cisco ISE, Aruba ClearPass, 8021X, AAA, and ACS). Cisco Wireless networks; WLC, Prime Infrastructure, and site surveys
    • Advanced skill in architectural network design, installation, maintenance of Cisco network infrastructure
    • Excellent technical documentation skills
    • Knowledge and understanding of industry trends and new technologies and ability to apply to day-to-day activities
    • Knowledge of enterprise platforms and operating systems as well as knowledge of key business functions and processes
    • Strong knowledge of internal (LAN) and external (WAN) technology landscape
    • Must have high attention to detail, be well organized and be a self-starter
    • Possess critical thinking and analytical skills with an ability to evaluate complex problems and issues quickly and accurately in order to recommend or take the most appropriate course of action
