Our Mobile Developer is part of the Connectivity Solutions Team developing applications to support IoT technology within our product line. In the role of Mobile Software Developer working in Waukesha, you’ll be a critical member of our Connectivity software team developing iPhone and Android Mobile Apps that enable and control IoT devices. This isn’t an average position where you might be restricted to one small piece of the applications existing technology, but the opportunity to create engaging software as part of a commercial product. You’ll need to be well versed in mobile device API’s, app usage and analytics, developing and interacting with web API’s, DevOps build and release pipelines, and implementing design patterns. You will be responsible for delivering functionality within a development sprint, participate in backlog grooming, performing code/development tasks, driving continuous integration/build processes, and automating unit testing.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Write code to develop new mobile applications and enhancements to existing mobile applications using best practice design patterns to ensure robust scalability and security.
• Maintain technical expertise in emerging mobile app dev technical trends.
• Write design documentation and technical specifications in line with business needs

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent experience
• 2 years experience in commercial software development in one or more of the following roles: Software Developer, Software Engineer or equivalent
• 2 years prior mobile applications development experience
• Experience building code using .NET stack
• Experience in event-based systems, microservices, and unit testing

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience building code using Xamarin and .NET stack

On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Specific conditions of this job include are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision and ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel.
