The Finance function performs a critical cross-functional role in driving GM's business success including improving company financial performance, managing cash to fund major vehicle programs, and reporting results and managing investor perceptions. Additional Job Description In this SAP System Analyst role you will be responsible for developing software applications using sound, repeatable, industry standard methodologies. You will work hands-on, writing software or developing solutions, based on detailed requirements and system specifications. Additionally, you will enhance existing software and/or develop new software solutions to address specific needs or solve business problems. You will contribute to all development activities in accordance with appropriate methodologies and application of a repeatable, systematic and quantifiable approach to the development process. You will develop your skills further by working closely with more senior developers to ensure code alignment with design patterns/frameworks. You should have proven experience in the following: * Critical thinking ability * Strong problem-solving capacity * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Project management skills * Knowledge of standard SAP capabilities and proper application to meet business requirements * Mastery of SAP configuration / customization tools and techniques * Full lifecycle application development using standard design patterns and frameworks * Complete cycle software project delivery efforts * Continuous integration and continuous deployment processes and tools (DevOps) * Technical writing knowledge around system design specification and user documentation of software systems and ensure that technical documentation meets GM standards * Performance tuning, usability assessment and improvement * Proactive identification and remediation of software issues such as code quality, pattern mismatch, and security issues related to the solution code or configuration * Integration of software solutions within company environments and external landscapes * Knowledge of software testing, quality assurance and solutions testing including automation * Knowledge of maintaining and debugging live software applications * Compliance with GM standards and industry standard methodology * Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and personal development * Belief in and demonstration of GM's winning behaviors; Think Customer, Innovate Now, Look Ahead, One Team, Be Bold, It's On Me, Win with Integrity and Be Inclusive Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree required * Computer Science, MIS / CIS, or another STEM-related major preferred * Minimum of 5 years of working experience is required (at least 10 years of experience is preferred) * Significant expertise in SAP and Solution Extension products; SAP S/4HANA, Vistex, SAP Vehicle Mgmt. System, SAP MDG, etc. * Significant expertise in configuration of SAP modules; SD, MM, FI-CO * Experience with CI/CD processes and tools (e.g., PCF, Azure DevOps) * Knowledge of in memory (HANA) databases * Experience with programming in ABAP, Java, Python, .NET or other languages * Familiarity with other packaged and open source software (e.g., WKC, DRM, Zuora, PowerBI, Knime, etc.) * Knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) as well as software development methodologies (e.g. Agile, Scrum, Iterative, Waterfall, etc.) * Understanding of security, efficient code reuse, and software design * Business process experience including Order Management, Pricing, Incentives, Billing, Accounts Receivable, Supply Chain, Logistics, and Asset Accounting Benefits Overview The goal of the General Motors total rewards program is to support the health and well-being of you and your family.
