    We are currently seeking an Electrical Engineer to support our customer as a RF Communications Engineer in Pax River, Maryland. Tasking includes providing TACCOM team with expertise related to Mobile User Objective System (MUOS), Satellite Communications (SATCOM) protocols, SATCOM systems integration, DAMA communications, Integrated Waveform (IW), Link 4A, Link 11, COM Encryption Algorithms, SATURN, HaveQuick, SINCGARS, aircraft bus control via 1553, Ethernet and the Program Loader Set (PLS) used to upload new radio software. Provide Integration Support for troubleshooting ARC-210 radios on airborne platforms integrating MUOS as a new capability using 1553 and Ethernet bus interfaces.  TACCOM/ARC-210 Program requires qualified Electrical Engineering with ability to obtain top secret clearance supporting integration of Communication systems spread across DOD platforms. The program requires an engineer to research, troubleshoot and resolve platform integration issues.

     

    REQUIRED EDUCATION: BSEE in Electrical Engineering (in the areas of RF communications, networks, computer engineers or associated specialties).

     

    REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Position requires experience with software designed radios with Embedded Communication Security (COMSEC) devices. To meet this requirement, there needs to be a thorough understanding of Satellite Communications waveforms used in DOD aircraft. Work products includes technical white papers and MUOS integration plans.

    Education/Experience:

    One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

         

    Language Ability:

    Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Knowledge of medical terminology/human anatomy (willingness to complete medical terminology courses), information services/data processing desirable. Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language. Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm in order to relate to ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset and occasionally hostile people.

              

    Math Ability:

    Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

            

    Reasoning Ability:

    Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed by uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

     

     Computer Skills: 

    To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Misys System accounting software.
