This internship provides hands-on experience supporting the procurement, equipment logistics, and inventory planning functions across our network of warehouse hubs.
The intern will work closely with various departments and company leadership to analyze purchasing trends, monitor equipment availability, improve inventory planning, and support the movement of equipment between warehouse hubs. This role will help ensure the right equipment is in the right place at the right time while supporting cost control and supply chain efficiency.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Procurement Data & Purchasing Analysis
Assist in collecting and analyzing purchasing data from domestic and international suppliers.
Track procurement trends including pricing changes, supplier performance, and order timing.
Support the development of reports that analyze purchasing efficiency and cost management.
Help maintain purchasing dashboards and procurement reporting tools using Excel, Power BI, or ERP data.
Validate purchase order data and identify discrepancies or potential cost savings opportunities.
Equipment Inventory & Availability Analysis
Assist in analyzing equipment inventory levels across multiple warehouse locations.
Monitor par levels and recommend adjustments to maintain appropriate inventory availability.
Support reporting related to equipment utilization, shortages, and overstock situations.
Work with operations teams to identify gaps in inventory planning and recommend improvements.
Assist with forecasting equipment demand based on historical order patterns and seasonal trends.
Equipment Logistics & Inter-Hub Movement
Track and analyze equipment transfers between regional warehouse hubs.
Support logistics planning by identifying opportunities to improve equipment flow between locations.
Assist with reporting on transportation costs and utilization of logistics resources.
Monitor equipment availability across markets and assist with recommendations for redistribution.
Supplier & Market Research
Conduct research on global suppliers and event rental equipment manufacturers.
Assist in benchmarking pricing, production lead times, and supplier capabilities.
Identify emerging sourcing opportunities and alternative suppliers.
Summarize research findings to support procurement strategy and supplier negotiations.
Process Improvement & Data Automation
Assist in identifying opportunities to automate procurement and inventory reporting processes.
Support standard operating procedures (SOPs) documentation for procurement and logistics processes.
Work with team members to improve data tracking related to purchasing, inventory levels, and equipment transfers.
Assist in developing dashboards that provide real-time insights into procurement and inventory performance.
Administrative & Organizational Support
Maintain organized records of procurement data, vendor information, and equipment movement reports.
Assist with tracking purchase orders, supplier communication logs, and delivery schedules.
Support ad hoc projects related to inventory planning, procurement strategy, and logistics analysis.
Professional Development & Team Collaboration
Attend weekly team meetings to review procurement and logistics priorities.
Participate in training sessions on procurement systems, inventory management, and logistics planning.
Provide updates on analytical findings and insights that support operational decision making.
Work Conditions:
Office-based with some exposure to warehouse environments (some areas may not be heated or air-conditioned).

Schedule & Compensation:
Flexible schedule – to be determined in collaboration with the Procurement Director or Operations Leadership.
Full-time or part-time schedule available.
Internship length to be determined in consultation with the candidate and manager.
Pay: $18 per hour.

Qualifications & Requirements:
Currently pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Data Analytics, Logistics, Economics, or a related field.
Strong analytical skills with experience in Excel, Google Sheets, or data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
Proficiency in English (written and verbal).
Basic understanding of procurement, supply chain management, or logistics operations.
Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical abilities.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
Experience with ERP or procurement systems such as Sage, NetSuite, Salesforce, or other logistics platforms is a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Must complete a 5-minute Behavioral Assessment through the Predictive Index.
Must pass a company background check and limited drug screen (excludes marijuana).
