POSITION SUMMARY
The Production and Quality Assurance Specialist position focuses on the quality assurance processes and continuous improvement methodologies. The position involves the day-to-day operations of the Quality team which includes the quality inspection of parts, scanning new parts to meet customer specifications.

Essential Functions Statements
Knowledge and hands-on operation of Quality Assurance equipment and methodology.
Knowledge and hands-on operation of metal fabrication machinery, especially metal forming with hydraulic presses and welding equipment.
Inspect parts to assure they meet quality standard and expectations of the customer.
Partner with Project Management team to ensure reliable and timely executed APQP and PPAP process.
Ensure PPAP capability that meets or exceed all industry and customer requirements.
Ensure timely submission of PPAPs to customers.
Conduct quality measurements and complete customer documentation prior to series production and delivery to customers.
Ensure that quality capabilities meet or exceed all industry and customer requirements.
Abide by ISO and ISO/IATF quality standards at all times.
Collaborate with customers providing assistance and responding to inquiries.
Work a regular schedule determined by supervisory management
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisory personnel.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education:
Experience:
A minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in a Quality Assurance position.
Ability to use Direct read measuring devices required.
A minimum of 2 years’ experience in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing skills preferred.
Ability to coordinate 3 Dimensional Coordinate Measuring and 2 Dimensional CAD experience preferred.
Previous experience in manufacturing; metal fabrication.
Ability to read blue prints and understand functionality of parts and their components.
Ability to operate a forklift and obtain certification.
Ability to work in a team environment and/or independently.
Ability to train inexperienced co-workers.
