    Job Description

    POSITION SUMMARY The main purpose of the Human Resource Coordinator is managing all aspects related to the recruitment of new employees, conducting orientations, onboarding, and assisting with training.  The Human Resource Coordinator will also assist with the administrative functions.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS STATEMENTS

    • Recruit new employees to satisfy current staffing needs.
    • Screen applications, setup interviews and select qualified candidates.
    • Schedule interviews; oversees preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials.
    • Conduct new employee orientation and onboarding process.
    • Review and submit applicable new hire paperwork including benefit forms for new employees to assure coverages are in place.
    • Assist with maintaining and updating HR policies, employee handbook, forms, and company policies.
    • Post job openings online and maintain or update job descriptions.
    • Collaborate with the hiring manager and/or other management during the offer process, identifying employee/employer needs, start dates, and other pertinent details.
    • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
    • Update HRIS data to assure its current and accurate.
    • Attends and participates in job fairs and recruiting sessions.

    ·       Work a regular schedule determined by supervisory management.

    • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisory management.

     POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

    SKILLS & ABILITIES

    EDUCATION:      Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent work experience, required.

    EXPERIENCE:    

    ·       Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    ·       Proactive and independent with the willingness to take initiative. 

    ·       A minimum of 1-2 years’ experience preferably in Human Resources in a manufacturing environment.

    ·       Excellent time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines.

    ·       Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.

    ·       Ability to establish relationships with employees.

    ·       Excellent interpersonal communication skills with good negotiation tactics.

    ·       Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems.  

     

    COMPUTER SKILLS:

    ·       Experience using MS Office Suite
