  • Responsibilities

    This position provides Human Resource and payroll support for the day to day operations of the plant.  The position reviews data and supplies reports based on this information to ensure proper HR administration and payroll processing.  This position will also assist in developing and implementing policies and procedures to support the department and plant goals and objectives.  The HR Coordinator will also be very active and engaged in the recruitment and retention efforts of the site, with a focus on our hourly production staffing needs.

     

    JOB FUNCTIONS:

     

    • Processes payroll for all hourly, salaried non-exempt, and temporary employees.
    • Tracks and maintains the talent development and performance evaluations for the hourly employees
    • Drives the full life-cycle of the recruitment process for hourly positions; creates job postings, review resumes, schedule interviews and monitors and maintains pre-employment steps for all candidates.
    • Assist in providing new hire orientation
    • Works with new hire training team on training improvements and updates for hourly employees
    • Tracks, maintains, and pays attendance, bonus hours, holidays, and bereavement
    • Provides headcount report and overtime reports to HR Manager and accounting
    • Coordinates with temp agencies for temporary staffing
    • Maintains employee data in the HRIS system, Payroll System, and runs reports from WorkBrain, SAP and other HR systems when needed
    • Maintains filing systems and records retention policy.
    • Scans and enters employees in Kronos and ADP
    • Assists employees with 401K, Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance
    • Assist employees with Employee Assistance Program and Educational Assistance Program
    • Processes short term disability payments and necessary payroll adjustments
    • Provides employees with FMLA support and information
    • Uses data and resources for policy recommendations
    • Works with the HR Manager to implement new policies and procedures

    Required Skills

    Associates degree or equivalent experience

    • Bachelor’s Degree preferred

    At least one year of payroll experience

    • Preferred in a manufacturing setting
    • Preferred experience with WorkBrain payroll system or similar system

    Prior Human Resource experience

    • Preferred at least two years of experience

    Experience in recruitment of hourly or salaried positions

    • Preferred at least one year of experience with the full life-cycle of recruitment 
    • Preferred experience with HR recruitment systems such as Taleo, SilkRoad, SAP, etc.

    Knowledge of Microsoft Office to include demonstrated proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel

    Must be able to work a flexible schedule to cover off shifts when needed

    Knowledge of HRIS flow

    • Preferably SAP
