    This position is responsible for the company’s facilities records and standards including maintenance, lease payment schedules, safety audits, security, DOT compliance and reporting, and worker’s compensation programs. Develop and communicate best practices for long-term solutions in partnership with mid- and high-level leadership.

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Perform specification and plan reviews of new facilities that include but are not limited to, new construction, remodels, upgrades and maintenance to ensure compliance with contract documents, specifications and building codes.
    • Facilitate and record all financial transactions related to facility leases including security deposits, base rent, insurance, taxes, building maintenance, etc.
    • Assist in the development of new standards of practice and procedures for facility related activities.
    • Coordinate and monitor standards for site security and signage.
    • Develop policies and procedures for loss prevention and risk control.
    • Direct the company’s safety program and assist in development and implementation of safety training programs for compliance with OSHA regulations and other federal, state or local requirements.
    • Report general liability and other claims (hurricane, auto, etc.)
    • Provide proof of insurance, assist with renewals and handle certificates of insurance.
    • Oversee administration of worker’s compensation insurance program, including interfacing directly with local management and associates pursuant to claims or investigations as needed.
    • Direct and administer company’s DOT program (including DOT files, Drivers Alerts, Vehicle Decals, DOT Handbook, and Fuel Tax).
    • Liaise between field operations and the Sonepar Director of Facilities on various projects.
    • Facilitate and maintain registrations in third party safety programs such as ISNetworld.
    • Conduct in person safety trainings and audits.
    • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) and/or five to seven years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Two to four years of demonstrated experience managing Federal DOT regulated fleet programs including Hours of Service rules and electronic log compliance.

    • Travel up to 50%.
    • Must be comfortable in both office and warehouse environments and working via remote tools such as WebEx or Teams.
