    MISSION / SUMMARY:

    Reporting to the VP, Investor Relations this position provides analytical support for all activities and processes of the Investor Relations department developing and implementation of various investor relation initiatives while supporting the overall business strategy. Responsibilities include analyzing relevant financial, operational and other related data as well as competitive and market data to contribute to a unified investor relations narrative.

     

    JOB FUNCTIONS: Job functions include but are not limited to the following.

    • Project manage IR goals 
    • Develop agendas, manage meeting flow, summarize and follow-up on actions to ensure timely execution of Investor Relations activities 
    • Prepare and maintain internal IR resources including Q&As and briefing books 
    • Maintain investor database, conduct investor targeting analyses, prepare reports 
    • Monitor and track relevant industry news, stock analyst reports, and investors in our space 
    • Help organize, plan, and attend as needed, road shows, in-house meetings, investor conferences, 1x1 meetings, topical webinars, and analyst days 
    • Plan and coordinate shareholder and sell-side analyst outreach 
    • Assist and take lead on certain quarterly earnings document preparation including press releases, presentations and prep materials as well as reviewing 10-Q/10-K filings 
    • Bring new ideas to the IR function – benchmark best-in-class disclosures, IR communications and tool, websites and presentations; identify areas that could supplement what we have today and better tell the investment story
    • Analyze the European investor market and propose approach to accessing investors, including appropriate channels, IR Consultancies, etc.
    • Build content to help explain and present sustainability and ESG progress and Investor Relations programs  
    • Maintain investor relations website and ESG page. Update and maintain ESG FAQ and tracking system in coordination with CSO to keep abreast of high impact, recurring ESG topics.
    • Monitor competitor and market sector information and compile reports 
    • Maintain consensus model with Virtua including collection of analyst models pre and post quarter (and when any model changes occur intra quarter); detailed analysis of model changes through the platform; identify areas where the street is significantly different from internal view; manage, summarize and run reports in conjunction with the FP&A team that will be helpful for senior management
    • Work cooperatively with FP&A, Accounting and other internal business partners to help support the quarterly earnings process and preparation of management for quarterly presentations to investment community.
    • Maintain IR calendar as part of more comprehensive Corporate Communications Council calendar to ensure announcement timing is in synch with investor communications.
    • Assess our investor, environmental, social and governance (ESG) communication, community and governmental relations against competitors and current best practice to aid continuous improvement efforts.
    • Assist in coordinating mill and converting facility visits and investor onsite requests.
    • Monitor competitor and market sector information and compile relevant information; develop with VP of IR and FP&A SharePoint page to enable easy access to competitor information.
    • Proactive assessment of market, competitive and industry specific information that can have impact from a business or sentiment perspective and manage the collection and summary of information to management.
    • Other duties as assigned.

     

    BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE:

    • Minimum 5 years of relevant banking or investor relations

     

    EDUCATION / KNOWLEDGE:

    • Bachelor’s degree with major in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business-related field required (will consider other degree fields for those who hold their MBA).
    • MBA, CFA, CPA or proven knowledge of capital markets strongly preferred

     

    SKILLS:

    • Extremely strong communication (verbal, written, graphical skills)

    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy skills

    • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint

    • Strong analytical modeling (i.e. advanced Excel skills) and communication skills

    • Professional maturity to engage with C-level staff and highly confidential company information

    • Ability to independently engage with cross-functional team members on a regular basis

    • Familiarity with CapIQ, Factset and other market analytics tools a plus

     

    SCHEDULE DEMANDS:

    • General schedule is an 8-hour M-F assignment, however, employee must be willing to work alternate schedules occasionally; that may include early mornings, nights, and/or weekends and be punctual while doing so.
    • Occasional overnight travel to include flying, driving, riding or by rail.

     

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

    • Sitting or standing for extended periods of time up to 8-hours.
    • Occasional Lifting up to 20 lbs.
    • Reading computer screen or other electronic devices.
    • Use of various office hand and electrical tools or equipment.
