  • Responsibilities

    FUNCTIONS: Job functions include, but are not limited to the following:

    • Understand and comply with plant and Cutting department rules, regulations, and procedures
    • Locate, aerate, hand fly, and stage loads in an appropriate
    • Checks for defects of printed and cut loads
    • Assists Cutting Operator in any way needed to keep machine running
    • Read status boards for present and upcoming jobs
    • Documents maintenance report, log sheet, QA checks and production on paper and in various computer systems
    • Learn to feed loads, start, and stop cutting equipment
    • Use trash bins and baler system for waste
    • Provides relief for breaks as needed
    • Keeps area and machine clean throughout shift
    • Must be able to work overtime
    • Responsible for understanding and adhering to all GMP, safety, food safety, SQF, HACCP and food defense procedures (Training will be provided)
    • Other duties as assigned

    Required Skills

         

    SCHEDULE DEMANDS:

    • General schedule is an 8 or 12 hour shift, however, employee must be willing to work alternate schedules occasionally; that may include early mornings, nights, and/or weekends and be punctual while doing so
    • Overtime required

     

    BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE:

    • 1 or more years’ experience operating Bobst die cutting equipment
    • SAP experience preferred

     

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

    • Standing for extended periods of time up to 12-hours.
    • Lifting up to 20 lbs.
    • Reading computer screen or other electronic devices
    • Use of various office hand and electrical tools or equipment.
