  • Responsibilities

    The Compliance Executive Director is responsible for developing a process and team to monitor all new and existing legislative and regulatory requirements across the system for all programs, business functions, and locations. Through the creation of a government relations team, this role will build and establish key relationships with site leaders and regulators in all markets where Rogers conducts business. Further, this role is responsible to ensure the accurate implementation of all legislative and contractual requirements, related to any aspect of the system business and both documenting and communicating out those regulatory requirements. Finally, this leader is responsible for developing processes to audit compliance with all laws, regulations, and implemented programs from a system-level perspective. 

     

    • Establish and oversee compliance for the organization from a system-level perspective, providing leadership to establish a culture of compliance and a new way of doing business with the end result being better patient care.
    • Oversee the development of a plan to review, implement and audit, all new and existing legislative and regulatory requirements in all states where Rogers conducts business.
    • Create a government relations division to coordinate legislative efforts for both new and proposed legislation and to ensure such requirements are summarized and timely implemented at Rogers.
    • Create an implementation team and process at Rogers to ensure every new legislative or regulatory action, every new managed care contract, new process, new market, a new initiative, new policy, or findings from an audit, regulatory or litigation matter is correctly implemented across the organization.
    • Use a project management approach to multi-faceted implementations to track all tasks and deliverables.
    • Develop audit standards and processes, to ensure that measures going through implementation, have been correctly implemented and are working in the organization.
    • Create a database to house all the compliance research related to a variety of topics which are reviewed and assessed either by the GR team or Compliance Implementation group or Legal team.
    • Coordinate with the Hospital Compliance Division, to ensure appropriate implementation of the Joint Commission and Accreditation standards remain in place.
    • Coordinate with the Legal team where attorney support is needed related to risk management or interpretation assistance.
    • Coordinate with the Billing & Coding Audit Division to ensure appropriate implementation of the Audit findings.
    • Develop key metrics and reporting tools related to all department functions.

    • Remain updated in the industry trends and options to assess and identify functions, features and refinements.

    Required Experience

    1. Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in healthcare or legal related field. Juris Doctorate would be preferred but not required.
    2. Minimum of 10 (10) years in health care operations, legal department, or compliance management required.
    3. Minimum of eight (8) years experience with management of individuals or large-scale processes, such as project management roles.
