    We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Account Executive to join our flexible packaging sales team. This person should possess outstanding sales experience, honed customer service skill and a passion for technology, new systems, and innovative business solutions in a variety of settings and inceptions. We value executives who are passionate about growing our existing accounts while proactively pursuing new accounts and identifying roadblocks and obstacles to increasing business. The ideal fit will be innovative enough to suggest tailored solutions to common account problems. Dedication to growing the business and facilitating smoother connections between our clients and our corporation is a must.

     

    • Successfully translate customer needs and wants into our new product development pipeline.
    • Sell innovation to customers using insight selling methodology and techniques
    • Partner with marketing, package designers and technical sales to manage and grow new accounts, and potentially within key existing accounts
    • Support new business customers in resolving service, delivery and quality issues to secure account.  Ensure internal sales/customer service reps are supporting terms and conditions.  
    • Recommend improvements in existing products or specifications to address potential competitive threats
    • Stay up-to-date on GPI capabilities and products to enhance ability to solve customer issues and provide innovation solutions
    • Acquire and maintain a significant market/customer knowledge to gain an understanding of specific customer needs, market trends and sales growth opportunities
    • Prepare and provide sales forecasts for existing and new business accounts
    • Oversee the qualification of new packages or package modifications for customer

    • Excellent presentation skills to internal and external audiences at all levels
    • Proven ability to act with flexibility and confidence
    • Professional demeanor and preparation in customer interactions, “buttoned-up”

    REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

    • Bachelor’s degree in related field, MBA a plus
    • 5 – 7 years of sales experience, preferably in the flexible packaging industry
    • Demonstrated ability to successfully open and secure new accounts
    • Knowledge and proven experience in insight-based selling
