  • Responsibilities

    Our Folding Carton facility needs a motivated, highly organized Production Manager for the DIE CUTTING DEPARTMENT to join our team. We are seeking someone to create effective procedures or approaches to ensure our manufacturing department operates at peak efficiency. We're looking for a Department Manager who enjoys working with employees to constantly improve our output.

    • Manage and evaluate machine resources to ensure productivity and minimal downtime in our Cutting department.
    • Oversee a workforce of 39+ employees.
    • Strive to reduce expenses and increase productivity across all product lines.
    • Ensure all employees follow industry-standard health and safety guidelines.
    • Set ambitious production goals and communicate them to key personnel.
    • Provide motivation, support, and guidance to all employees.
    • Communicate any problems or obstacles to operations or senior management.
    • Establish workflow policies that enhance speed and efficiency without compromising product safety or quality.
    • Create schedules for employees to ensure optimum staffing level.
    • Identifies cost reduction and continuous improvement opportunities in support of Six Sigma efforts.

    Required Skills

    • 4+ years' experience in manufacturing operations
    • 2+ years' experience in a supervisory capacity
    • Bachelor's degree required
    • Ability to coach and mentor employees on a one-on-one basis as well as as a group
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Outlook and SAP.
