    JOB SUMMARY: Safely maintain the operation of cup forming or lid forming manufacturing equipment. Set up, adjust and make repairs to equipment as required to maintain standard quality and quantity of production. Understand and align business operations through execution of the role, exceeding customer expectations and aligning with GPI business, cultural, financial and operational objectives.

     

     

    JOB FUNCTIONS: Job functions include, but are not limited to the following.

    • Work within and adhere to GPI’s core values of Integrity, Respect, Accountability, Relationships and Teamwork.
    • Perform all duties in a safe and orderly manner; Be actively engaged in safety programs.
    • Ensure production of products consistent with established food safety, sanitation and quality standards.
    • Set up, change over, adjust and make repairs to equipment as required to maintain standard quality and quantity of production by utilizing written standard operating procedures (SOP’s) and trouble cause correction (TCC’s) instructions.
    • Maintain 5S in assigned area, keeping work area and equipment clean and orderly; Maintains work system tools
    • Follow production schedule by machine and design; Complete necessary production reports.
    • Once qualified, instruct and train other operators.
    • Manage workload as necessary to ensure production requirements are met.
    • Meet required Key Performance Metrics (KPI’s).
    • Communicate with oncoming shift to ensure continuity of production, quality and safety.
    • Fulfill overtime requirements necessary to ensure production requirements are met.
    • Perform miscellaneous duties, as assigned.
    • Assist in other areas or perform other duties, as assigned.

    Required Skills

    BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE / SKILLS:

    • 18 years or older.
    • Strong mechanical background.
    • Prior manufacturing experience.
    • Must have the skills necessary to perform technical tasks during operation and trouble-shooting.
    • Able to operate computers/keyboards.
    • Able to use hand and power tools properly and safely.
    • Able to work in a fast-paced, multi-task environment.
    • Strong organizational skills and detail orientation.
    • Strong communication skills.
    • Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
    • Able to follow verbal or written instructions.

     

    EDUCATION / KNOWLEDGE:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent, required.

     

    SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS:

    • 12-hour shifts with rotating weekends off. 
    • Must be willing and able to work overtime.

     

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to perform the essential physical functions of the position, with or without accommodation.  This includes: Walking or standing for extended periods of time, up to 12-hours; Lifting to 50lbs; Carrying to 30 lbs.; Lowering to 30 lbs. from a height of 4 feet; Visual acuity and depth perception; Working in various temperatures & humidity levels.
