    LAMINATOR/SINGLE FACER JOB SUMMARY: Operates and feeds Asitrade machine that Accurately completes the Asitrade Department. Perform loading functions on rolls and manages heating and starch applications on corrugated materials. Ensures that all products are manufactured to company/ customer specifications.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES ARE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

    • Make mechanical adjustments on machines to include, but are not limited to the following.
    • Accurately prepare Production, Inventory and Material Usage Reports
    • Performs make-ready on assigned equipment
    • Ensure that new hires or general helpers assigned to the equipment are correctly /effectively trained to perform task meant to maintain a running cutter
    • Directly involved in responsibilities /actions realted to Prerequisite and Food Safety Programs
    • Report to person of authority to record any potentially unsafe conditions which may result in unsafe foods or non compliance to SQF related procedures
    • Accurately completes the Asitrade Department Purge, Make-Ready , and Attribute Checklists
    • Ensures that all products are manufactured to company/ customer specifications
    • Accurately prepare Production, Inventory and Material Usage Reports
    • Performs make-ready on assigned equipment
    • Ensure that new hires or general helpers assigned to the equipment are correctly /effectively trained to perform task meant to maintain a running cutter
    • Directly involved in responsibilities /actions related to Prerequisite and Food Safety Programs
    • Report to department supervisor to record any potentially unsafe conditions which may result in unsafe foods or non-compliance to SQF related procedures
    • Participate in SQF Root Cause and Corrective Actions ( from customer complaints, SQF audits, validation, and verification activities) as required
    • Reporting of any customer complaints to person responsible to enter into GPI’s Customer Complaint system for root cause analysis and appropriate action taken
    • Follow all procedures related to producing Safe Quality Foods(SQF)
    • Keeps daily time and materials usage reports and records information in SAP and PEAK
    • Performs Preventative Maintenance
    • Monitors the Housekeeping standards in the break room actively managing the Cleanliness of the storage shelves and items stored in the refrigerators discarding abandoned food products.
    • Assist temporary employees with understanding task assignments while Reinforcing SQF standards and Graphic Packaging Internationals core values.
    • Perform housekeeping duties
    • Shares an obligation to protect and strengthen Graphic Packaging International’s good reputation in our relationships with customers, employees, suppliers, competitors, investors, and governmental agencies, and to act consistently with our core values: Integrity, Respect, Accountability, Relationships, and Teamwork
    • Other duties as assigned

    Required Skills

    BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE:

    • Manufacturing experience preferred.
    • Prior experience operating Asitrade or printing machinery is preferred.  In lieu of which candidates should demonstrate aptitude, desire and quick learning ability.

     

    QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

    High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

     

    LANGUAGE SKILLS:

    Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

     

    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

    Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

     

    REASONING ABILITY:

    Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

     

    CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

    Company issued Fork Truck Operator’s license.

    WORK SCHEDULE:

    Employees are required to work 8-hour (M-F) or 12-hour (2-2-3) schedules including weekends.

    Occasional overtime is required.

     

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

    • Sitting or standing, depending on changing job assignment, for extended periods.
    • Awkward and/or repetitive movements.
    • Lifting up to 50 lbs.
    • Reading computer screen or other electronic devices.
    • Use of various hand and electrical tools and equipment.
    • Work in areas of fluctuating temperature.

     

    WORK ENVIRONMENT:
