    At Apergy we are building our key capabilities to accelerate and support our growth, thus Apergy Digital is now seeking to hire an ENTRY LEVEL FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER for Windrock Inc. This position is located in Knoxville, TN and will require the ability and willingness to travel 50-80%.

     

    POSITION OVERVIEW:

    The ENTRY LEVEL FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER performs various duties to facilitate the day to day needs of the Field Services team.

    • Become a SME regarding all Windrock product lines.
    • Be trained to provide reciprocating engine and compressor mechanical condition and performance analysis on high speed separable and slow speed integral packages using a Windrock portable analyzer system.
    • Attend, participate and pass all qualification tests of the Windrock Qualified Analyst’s Training Program, while assisting with its evolving improvement.
    • Be trained to provide installation, commissioning, programming, and calibration services as required on permanently installed analysis systems at customer locations.
    • Learn and provide installation support and troubleshooting services for Windrock Spotlight systems.
    • Utilize CAD software and assist with creating drawing packages for new Online systems and update packages to “as-built”.
    • Assist with creating work instructions and procedures.
    • Provide Product Training to customers.
    • Assist customer support and perform testing of products.
    • Work one-on-one with customers and provide needed support to them.
    • Travel requirement: 50% – 80% - must enjoy being a road warrior.

     

    OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

    •  Must comply with all applicable safety and environmental policies and procedures.

    • Training on updates and upgrades of documentation, including computer record keeping.

    • Attend training classes as required related to the analysis equipment and procedures.

    • Participate in User Groups and analyzer associations as appropriate to keep abreast of new equipment and techniques.

    Required Skills

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    • A Bachelor’s Degree in a Technical field such as Mechanical Engineering or similar is preferred. An Associate’s Degree in a Technical field such as mechanical engineering or similar with 2 years’ progressive work experience will also be considered.

    • Mechanical and Electrical experience

    • Bilingual or Multilingual a plus but not required. Written & Oral of the English language is required; Spanish or Portuguese is preferred

    • Proficient with computers and software, Microsoft Office Suite

    • Experience with CAD software or a willingness to learn CAD

    • Ability to work in a large machinery intensive environment

    • Ability to present technical information to large and small audiences

    • Must possess a valid driver’s license and an ability to travel domestic and internationally

    • Must be able to work independently and possess a high level of self-motivation

    • Proven ability to work with minimal supervision

    • Must work collaboratively and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers

    • Effective problem solving skills

    • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds unaided
