• Operates all Forge machines in the department which are equipped with dies that form metal stocks into various shapes.
• Sets and aligns tools and dies in machines.
• Has knowledge of forging temperatures.
• Observes and adjusts machines as required.
• Maintains heat codes and the ability to do the required paperwork.
• Requires no assistance in setting up machine and little supervision.
• Assures quality job on wide variety of products.
• Inspects work as per prints and specifications.
• Responsible for quality and quantity of work produced.
• Checks machine parts and lubrication to avoid breakage.
• Obtains reasonable production with minimum supervision.
• Responsible for safe operating practices.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work area.
• Other duties as assigned.

2nd Shift (2:00pm - 10:30pm)

Required Skills

JOB KNOWLEDGE: Completion of High School or equivalent, related experience and ability to use multiplication, division, or application of simple formulas, drawings, specifications, charts, tables, schedules, and use of adjustable measuring devices.

Required Experience

EXPERIENCE: 1 year experience, which may consist of previous experience on related jobs.
