During the internship the selected applicant will gather TAT data for parts in the Initial Planning queue, and log daily NDI rejections. The Intern will be required to learn Planning procedures that are needed to perform tasks assigned to them. Specific topic tasks will be assigned to the intern, which the intern will need to complete. Intern will also support Engineering and Planning, and participate in regular performance team meetings. Project Description: Planning identified as heart of production most critical decisions are made, evidence suggest that parts were over and under-processed and the different planning teams are not sufficiently knowledgeable in specifications and manuals, faulty measurement equipment was also identified. Project Goals: The overall end goal of the project is the transformation of the planning team and skillset Elite-Techs Improvement of abilities to inspect, record and plan the best work scope, establish the tem values (challenge precision, excellence, and leadership), sustainable 8hrs TAT for Initial Planning, 4hrs TAT for Priority parts Reduction of NDI rejection rate by 40% and Reduction of work scope by 10%. * Interns goal will be to compare data. Gather at the beginning and end of the project * Prepare timeline for project and ensure status overview * Develop Planning drawings according to specifications and initiate approval process together with Engineering and management * Identify possible faulty inspection tooling and create a tooling database * Present project achievements to management at end of internship * Document completed work and ensure proper hand-over of achievements to HPA personnel to ensure sustainable of results Project Skills: Training will be provided on shop procedures, OEM and customer requirements. Intern will have Engineering and Planning support from managers and leads. Intern will develop valuable research and information-gathering skills. Development of general business professionalism, work skills and confidence. Will develop teamwork skills. Career related experience. Qualifications: Selected applicant must be an undergraduate college student enrolled in an accredited college or university and have an overall grade point average (GPA) 2.0 or higher.
