Inventory Control Intern Henry Schein Animal Health 38 reviews - Aurora, CO Internship Summary Performs inventory control functions to ensure compliance through: cycle counting, date checking, stock rotation, and product slotting. Job Description: Performs cycle counts and investigates discrepancies. Troubleshoots non-cycle count inventory discrepancies, determines cause, suggests and implements plan for resolution. Reconciles inventory reports including variance and expired products. Evaluates and adjusts required replenishment levels in computer system, regularly, to assure adequate inventory levels are maintained. Produces and analyzes reports and utilizes frequency of pick report to determine proper location for each item. Sets up and moves items based on frequency of pick report, in order to improve efficiency of storing and handling product. Supports recall efforts, to include confirming recall quantities with regulatory and vendors, moving effected recall product to the morgue physically and systematically, working with the manager to ensure return of recalled product to the vendor. Performs other duties, as assigned. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required Current student working toward degree in Supply Chain, Logistics or other comparable undergraduate or graduate program Minimum 6 months work experience Strong PC skills with proficiency using Microsoft Excel and Outlook e-mail. Good analytical, problem-solving, time management, and organization skills. Good communication skills with the ability to operate as a team member. Ability to transport up to 70 pounds on an occasional basis. Experience with radio frequency (RF) scanners helpful.
