POSITION SUMMARY STATEMENT: The Intern, Engineering and Maintenance will be responsible for working on various Facilities and Maintenance department projects. This position reports to the Facilities and Production Maintenance Director and may require weekend work as necessary. DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: - Create a detailed HVAC Statement of Work and bid documentation - Support Project Management Effectiveness project by analyzing historical data on work orders and Oracle Enterprise Management and generating a proposal on additions to Project Management instructions to improve plant equipment reliability - Review and update site asset list - Develop/input spare parts bin/rack assignments, part photos, and initiate the eMaint Bar Coding process - Other duties as assigned Skills: - Understanding of some of the basic operations and preventive maintenance of plant equipment including but not limited to motors, pumps, conveyors, pneumatics, heat exchangers, fluid systems, powder systems, steam systems, chillers, and basic electronics and instrumentation - Understanding of Occupational hazards and standard safety practices/precautions - Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and AutoCAD programs. Ability to learn basics of CMMS - Ability to read and understand equipment, drawings, and technical manuals - Good typing, data entry, computer and phone/communication skills - Must be able to work effectively as a team member and interact positively with all staff, clients and third parties, individually and in a group setting, and with all levels of management - Attention to detail - Ability to report findings and make recommendations - Flexible and efficient when dealing with multiple priorities, people and tasks - Ability to use initiative and to exercise sound independent judgment - Ability to recognize, prioritize and accomplish needed tasks - Problem solving skills, and the ability to work with minimal supervision - Must comply with all Company policies, work rules, safety regulations and good housekeeping requirements - Maintaining a clean and orderly work area - Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with individuals contacted during course of work including outside vendors, contractors and/or suppliers - A sense of urgency in completing task and job assignments correctly, on time, the first time Experience: - 01 years of related experience - Must possess a strong technical background - Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems is a plus Education: - A current sophomore or junior level student in an undergraduate program pursuing a Bachelors degree majoring in Engineering. Recently Graduated Senior within the past 6 months. A current graduate level student in a graduate degree program. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: - Familiar with cGMPs, SOP requirements of a regulated working environment - Work experience in a Nutraceuticals, Food/Beverage or Pharmaceutical manufacturing plant - Vocational Certification or Associates Degree
