    Herbert, Rowland & Grubic, Inc. (HRG) is an award winning, employee-owned civil engineering consulting firm with offices in Pennsylvania & West Virginia.  Founded in 1962, HRG has been dedicated to providing quality, cost-effective design solutions to public and private sector clients in the municipal, water and wastewater, land development, transportation, water resources, geographic information systems (GIS), survey, environmental, construction phase, and financial services markets for over 50 years.

     

    We are seeking a talented and experienced Bridge Design Engineer to join our dedicated group of professionals in Harrisburg, PA.  As a BRIDGE DESIGN ENGINEER, you are responsible for:  

     

    • Designs and analyzing various structures, i.e., bridges, buildings and retaining walls to provide solutions for the maintenance, repair, or replacement of any type of structure.
    • Structure projects and/or NBIS inspections for a multi-office engineering firm.

     

    Required Skills Required Experience

     

    • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering with a transportation/structures emphasis
    • Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Professional Engineering license
    • 5+ years of structural design/engineering and project experience including:
      • PENNDOT design procedures
      • Bridge design and project experience
      • NBIS bridge inspection
      • Bridge rehabilitation plans and specifications
    • Is a leader and team player possessing strong skills in communication, planning and organization
    • Has the flexibility for occasional travel to job sites, meetings, and other offices
    • Has the legal right to work in the U.S.

     

  • Qualifications

    MINIMUM:

    • RCIS, RN, or RT preferred or related health care license
    • 3 years clinical experience in the interventional or peripheral cardiovascular laboratory or Thorough knowledge of current interventional practices and procedures
    • Ability to conduct high impact presentations during training and customer presentations
    • Proven ability to demonstrate strong persuasive, objection handling and problem solving skills in high pressure situations
    • Proven ability to demonstrate team contributor competencies:  Action Oriented, Perseverance, Learning on the fly and attention to detail
    • Knowledge of computer applications including Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
    • Ability to manage multiple projects
    • Ability to work independently and exercise judgment consistent with organizational and department guidelines.

     

    PREFERRED:

     

    • Bachelor’s degree
    • 5+ years of clinical experience in a diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular laboratory that utilizes the ACIST contrast management system
    • Sales experience a plus
    • Scrub experience preferred

     

    OTHER:

     

    • Ability to lift equipment up to 50 pounds
    • Ability to travel a minimum of 70-80% of the time
    • Valid driver’s license
    • Must be able to meet and maintain customer/medical facility access requirements, including regular or periodic drug screenings with a satisfactory result in accordance with the requirements of the customer/medical facility serviced
