This position involves driving a forklift, loading trailers, picking orders to palletize, stacking boxes, wrapping pallets and working with direct ship programs. This positionis full time benefit eligible . Hours: A general work week will be Monday to Friday from 7:00am to 3:30pm; additional hours may be required due to business demands. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Moves levers and presses pedals to drive truck and control movement of lifting apparatus. Positions forks, lifting platform, or other lifting device under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials or hooks tow trucks to trailer hitch, and transports load to designated area. Unloads and stacks material by raising and lowering lifting device. Picks orders while following warehouse procedures of 1st in / 1st out. Inventories materials on work floor, and supply workers with materials as needed. Weighs materials or products and records weight on tags, labels, or production schedules. Loads or unloads materials onto or off of pallets, skids, or lifting device. Lubricates truck, recharges batteries, fills fuel tank, or replaces liquefied gas tank. Maintain a safe and neat work environment. Perform safety inspections on forklifts, document the inspection and submit the inspection report to the supervisor. Must report any problems found during the inspection right away. Must attend all safety and SQF (Safe Quality Food) meetings and/or training sessions and be committed to working to these standards. Duties as assigned may include production support. Qualifications: Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior warehouse experience is preferred. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Must possess a current tow motor license. Candidates must pass a pre-placement screen test demonstrating the ability to perform the physical requirements of this position.
