    POSITION MISSION / SUMMARY:

     

    This position is responsible for leading SAP Inventory & Production Reporting (IPR) and managing inventory compliance for the Americas Converting business unit.  Serves as a strategic business partner to Operations, Finance, IT, Compliance, and Internal & External Audit departments.  This role is also responsible for compliance and financial control oversight of inventory, manage best practice audits, and lead systems and process enhancements that improve the accuracy of financial reporting. 

     

    POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES ARE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE FOLLOWING:

     

    • Provide leadership and oversight for SAP IPR Specialist team members
    • Direct the IPR training program to improve operational efficiencies
    • Partner with Compliance stakeholders to ensure Americas Converting locations understand and implement finance policies to meet required controls
    • Implement and manage processes and tools to verify that Americas Converting is following all Corporate and Divisional policies related to inventory
    • Manage plant wide evaluation (independent review) of Shop Floor Reporting, Inventory Controls, and Finance and ensure weaknesses identified are corrected in a timely manner
    • Document and implement best practice procedures at SAP production locations in the areas Inventory Controls
    • Responsible to achieve zero un-remediated SOX deficiencies related to inventory at each year end
    • Prepare performance evaluations for the SAP IPR organization
    • Drive alignment with Operations and Finance Leadership
    • Manages and oversees Consignment Inventory for Americas Converting business unit with the exception of the Georgia Pacific Dixie business
    • Provide training, as needed, to Americas Converting employees on Corporate and Divisional inventory policies

       

    SCHEDULE DEMANDS:

     

    • General schedule is an 8-hour M-F assignment, however, employee must be willing to work alternate schedules occasionally; that may include early mornings, nights, and/or weekends and be punctual while doing so.

     

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

     

    • Sitting or standing for extended periods of time up to 8-hours.
    • Occasional Lifting up to 20 lbs.
    • Reading computer screen or other electronic devices.
    • Use of various office hand and electrical tools or equipment.

    Required Skills Required Experience

    JOB REQUIREMENTS:

     

    • Minimum of High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business or similar discipline preferred
    • 10+ years of manufacturing experience, including 5+ years in Inventory Control and Production reporting
    • Ability to complete Inventory and Production Reporting Specialist responsibilities at any location, understanding of all manufacturing processes
    • 50% travel required
    • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
    • Professional oral and written communication skills
    • SAP experience
