JOB SUMMARY: We are looking for dependable people with excellent problem-solving, learning, communication and teamwork skills to fill our Maintenance Associate position.  This position will assist journeyman-level E&I in routine maintenance work as well as performing many duties independently.

Duties for the Maintenance E&I Associate include, but are not restricted to, electrical circuit troubleshooting & repair, conduit & wire installation, lighting repair, PLC troubleshooting & repair, drive troubleshooting & repair, Instrumentation & control valve calibration, troubleshooting & repair, and HVAC work.

JOB FUNCTIONS: Job functions include, but are not limited to the following.

• Understands importance of and complies with Mill and department safety and environmental policies, procedures and practices

• Maintain a safe work environment for yourself and other associates

• Troubleshooting and servicing all production and support equipment within the facility in a safe and efficient manner while ensuring minimal downtime.

• Provides technical support by operating a variety of electrical testing equipment in locating and determining types of electrical malfunctions within the mill.

• Studies plans, drawings, specifications, and work orders to determine work requirement and sequence of repairs and/or installations.

Required Skills

BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE:

• Associate or technical degree in Instrumentation or Electrical
• Relevant work experience in an industrial environment.
• Strong math/physics understanding.
• Instrumentation background on the E&I side preferred

• One (1) year vocational/technical education in the Instrumentation Electrical Disciplines: INSTRUMENTATION, ELECTRICAL

SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS:

• GENERAL SCHEDULE IS A MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY 8-HOUR ASSIGNMENT, HOWEVER, EMPLOYEE MUST BE WILLING TO WORK ALTERNATE SCHEDULES OCCASIONALLY; THAT MAY INCLUDE EARLY MORNINGS, NIGHTS, WEEKENDS, AND/OR HOLIDAYS AND BE PUNCTUAL WHILE DOING SO.
• Work any shift and/or a rotating shift schedule
• Work overtime on a regular basis and with last minute notification
• Work holidays and/or weekends on a regular basis

Required Experience

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Sitting or standing, depending on changing job assignment, for extended periods.
• Awkward and/or repetitive movements.
• Routine Lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Proficiency in using hand tools, depth micrometers and precision measuring tools, welders, grinders, lathes, milling machines, etc.
• Standing and sitting for extended periods and awkward or repetitive movements at times
• Ability to climb ladders and stairs
• Reading computer screen or other electronic devices.
• Work in areas of fluctuating temperature.
