    The DIRECTOR, TALENT MANAGEMENT & LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT COE is an integral part of Sonepar USA’s Human Resources (HR) team and reports to the Vice President of Talent. In this role, you will collaborate with business leaders and HR teams to proactively plan, design, and deliver organizational development interventions, leadership development, and talent management strategies to support our operating companies and improve depth, quality, and engagement of talent across the organization.

     

    This position is desired to be based in Charleston, South Carolina or Virtual.

     

    As the Director of Talent Management & Leadership Development CoE, you will:

     

    ORGANIZATIONAL DEVELOPMENT

     

    • Provide expertise in areas of leadership and team development, strategy, and organizational design and culture.
    • Partner with business leaders and HR teams to research, develop, and execute organizational development projects.
    • Function as an internal consultant by finding, establishing, and achieving innovative organizational change interventions.

     

    LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT

     

    • Drive regional talent review processes to ensure effective identification of talent for leadership roles and improve depth, quality, and engagement of top talent across the organization. Use insights from the process to implement impactful solutions to trending development needs and succession gaps.
    • Assess organizational needs and address via competency-based leadership development program design and delivery.
    • Design a variety of approaches for executive leader & high potential leadership development, solutions and services including a range of experiences and exposure opportunities across our operating companies.
    • Build out future Leadership Programs identified through the Talent Reviews, Succession Planning and Organization-wide strategies.
    • Identify and regularly manage key metrics around program effectiveness and impact.

     

    TALENT MANAGEMENT/LEARNING & DEVELOPMENT

     

    • Manage the development and implementation of integrated talent management strategies, tools, and processes to drive a culture of career growth, talent mobility, performance accountability and leadership transition.
    • Manager the design and deliver learning and development programs to support the development of skills and competencies critical to the success of the business. Lead career development program efforts by ensuring career framework is in place to support career pathing clarity, career conversations and planning are occurring, and promotional/career advancement are effectively being provided.

     

    QUALIFICATIONS:

     

    • A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in Talent Management consulting capacity within a decentralized organizational structure
    • Bachelors, Masters or Certification in Talent Management, Organizational Development, Human Resources, or related field of study
    • Demonstrated experience in Instructional Design methodologies, certification or equivalent preferred
    • Demonstrated ability to interface with all levels of an organization
    • Advanced knowledge of leadership, organizational, change management models, talent development, processes, and procedures
    • Ability to travel approximately 40%
    • Authorized to work for Sonepar in the United States without employment sponsorship

    • Culture transformation in a matrix environment
    • Development and delivery of talent programs in a decentralized environment
    • Korn Ferry Assessment and Agility Model preferred
    • Aligning and influencing multiple stakeholders
    • Certifications in 360 feedback and coaching
    • Certification Insights Discovery desired

  • Qualifications

    REQUIREMENTS: 

    • Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred
    • Compensatory closely related work experience required in lieu of degree.
    • 3 - 5 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing required; converting facility supervisory experience is preferred
    • Demonstrated supervisory and project management skills.
    • Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma continuing education preferred.
    • Technical and problem-solving skills.
    • Must be a leader with exceptional communication skills, good organization, and the ability to motivate people to perform at high levels.
    • Must be quality conscious and customer oriented.
    • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
