The intern will: -complete assessments of the health and environmental impact of chemicals and materials used in HP products and their potential replacement materials -update the HP chemical model of materials and substances used in electronic components -organize and validate HP supplier lists -organize and present findings to the technical and procurement communities Education and Experience Required: At least two years of full-time enrollment (minimum 12 hours per semester) in a Bachelor's degree program in Engineering, Material Science, Chemistry, Toxicology, or Biology completed by June 2017. - Strong organizational skills - Familiarity with scientific research methods - Interest in environmental issues - Excellent interpersonal, teamwork and collaboration skills - Strong written and verbal communication skills, fluency in English - Ability to write and communicate technical information clearly and concisely - Use of Windows-based productivity tools (email, word processors, spreadsheets, etc.) Other desired experience, knowledge and skills: - Course work in engineering, material science, and/or chemistry - Database experience - Familiarity with electronics hardware This is a Summer Internship (Full time). The successful candidate MUST be currently pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's or PhD degree. Apply
