Responsibilities: College Interns are university students who are working at hp during their study or in summer breaks between university semesters. College Intern is only used in selected countries where it is not the practice to differentiate based on academic year completed. The Competitive analyst, a member of the CEPS Business Development team, will be the software marketplace expert. You will develop this expertise by purchasing and analyzing competitors product offerings on Windows and Chrome devices. Upon completion of the competitor analysis and review of current marketplace trends, you will champion the need to evolve HPs software offerings. You will coordinate and rally product management teams, and your leadership will enhance teamwork among HP executives. There will also be an opportunity to get involved with the gaming category, as well as, assist with team processes. Responsibilities: * Manage and lead collaboration with Marketing, Product Mgmt., Business Development and Design to determine and execute research plans. * Conduct the competitive analysis on Windows and Chrome devices with a special emphasis on consumer Security, Gaming, and Search software and their end-to-end experiences, offers, product capabilities, pricing, pop-ups, lifecycle, etc * Lead market research and positioning strategy for software applications by creating and tracking competitive landscapes. * Identify market requirements for additional targeted customer segments and/or industry verticals. * Gather intelligence on current industry, technology, and consumer trends. * Present findings and make recommendations to internal stakeholders. * Assist with Business Development team processes. Knowledge and Skills Required: * Self-motivated with a results-oriented attitude * Working knowledge of marketing principles, practices, tactics, and tools * Strong written and oral communications * Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team * Ability to interface effectively with multiple levels of the organizations * Ability to influence and drive consensus * Working knowledge of Databases, Reporting tools, and MS suite Desired * Familiarity with offering category and HP offerings/strategy. * Advanced expertise of MS PowerPoint, Excel, SQL, Tableau, Power BI a plus * Analytical skills * Interested in an opportunity to develop and grow a career in technology and consumer products Education and Experience * MBA preferred * 2+ years of marketing and research experience * Basic programming and reporting enhancement experience
