Responsibilities:The HP Big Data Business Transformation organization uses advanced analytic techniques to provide strategic business insights for the HP printing business. The Business Analyst Intern will conduct several analysis projects to identify trends and opportunities to guide strategic decisions for the HP Print business. You will be assigned a mentor, and work with internal teams (R&D, Marketing, etc.) to analyze parameters such as usage of printer features, impact of advertising promotions, and adoption of new business models. Key responsibilities include: * Identify the appropriate data sources, analytical methods and tools required for the project * Create statistical models to answer the business questions * Validate and understand the conclusions * Summarize the results in professional presentations to business partners and senior leaders Qualifications:The successful candidate will have strong analytical skills, curiosity for data, and some experience using analytic tools such as Excel, SQL, or statistical software. Other requirements include: * Junior status or later, pursuing a Bachelors, Masters or Ph.D. degree in business, statistics, economics, math or similar * Successfully completed statistics or similar advanced math coursework * Self-motivated with good time management skills and ability to work independently * Strong verbal and written communication skills * Ability to learn new analytical techniques and develop creative approaches to solving difficult problems
