    As a Manufacturing High School Intern with Caterpillar, you will be working with the operations team, quality, maintenance, and production professionals supporting some of Caterpillar's world class components. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to a team making improvements in manufacturing, safety, quality, velocity, and cost while you gain valuable experience and grow your skills and knowledge.

    Project scope and complexity will be adjusted to meet the capabilities of the intern. The intern needs strong computer skills with Microsoft Office type programs, and we will provide the training needed on other special software.

    This position is a 10 to 20 hour per week assignment during the school year with the opportunity to work 40 hours per week during school breaks and during the summer months at $14.00/ hr.

    Requirements:

    • Candidate must currently be enrolled in High School going into your Junior or Senior year of school or will be graduating from High School at the end of this current school year.
    • Must be at least 16 years of age.
    • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
    • Must be willing and able to complete daily work commute to the Griffin facility using reliable transportation.
    • Good communication skills and strong commitment to safety and teamwork
    • Experience with Excel, Word and PowerPoint

    Additional Information:

    • This is a part-time position. Students will work Monday- Thursday 2:30-5PM.
    • This position is only for high school students as part of Caterpillar Griffin's Student Internship Program.
    • The primary location for this position is Griffin, GA.
