Training & Onboarding Coordinator Thomson Thomson, GA, USA Full Time Human Resources Description The position is responsible for the training, onboarding and professional development of new hire associates and coordinates the safety training for associates. Essential Duties and Responsibilities (I ncludes the following, other duties may be assigned.) Assist in the interview process to ensure candidates understand the training and onboarding. Conduct New Hire Orientation sessions (HR & Safety) Coordinates department and other mandatory safety training for new hires Coordinate and supervise the training and development skills of new hires, while enhancing productivity, and quality of work. Discuss Position Qualification Standards (PQS) training with new hires to ensure understanding of program Arrange on the job training for new hires to include meet and greets with Supervisor, Lead, Trainer, and other associates Partner with Payroll to register new hires in time clock system and review use Oversee the completion of the PQS by meeting with the Supervisor, Trainer and new associates at the 30, 60 and 90-day intervals while keeping HR up to speed on progress. Facilitate the training and onboarding on external and internal temps. Follow-up with new hires to solicit daily feedback and ensure New Hire questionnaires are completed timely and accurately. Promote training to include cross-training, transfers, and skill improvement via PQS and develop best practices for program Oversee Training Team to include assisting in the selection as required and creating and implementing best practices. Conduct train the trainer sessions for new trainers prior to them being authorized to train new hires as well as retraining of existing trainers 2x/yr. Provide accurate records to payroll for training team differential pay in a timely manner. Maintain records, provide feedback, and ensure accountability of training with trainers and supervisors. Recommend, assist in the creation and ongoing effectiveness of training initiatives and best practices such as a Sewing School, Safety Dojo, etc. Facilitate the Exit Interviews, recommend and implement retention initiatives. Facilitate the job posting programs and coordinate developmental programs to ensure continued retention of associates. Help supervisors improve their interpersonal skills in order to deal effectively with employees. Ensure quality standards are achieved by corroborating with QA department as well as departmental supervisors Supervises, promotes and enforces compliance of company policies rules and procedures Supports & promotes good housekeeping practices Support and promote Safety program and initiatives. Responsible for other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS : To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The associate must have excellent written and oral communications skills. Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus. Must be able to problem solve and execute solutions. Must have the ability to manage multiple priorities and possess a sense of urgency. Must exhibit teamwork. Must possess the ability to make suggestions that help cut cost, improve quality and processes. Good computer skills to include the ability to create and update documents in MS Word and Excel is required. Education and/or Experience Must have at least two years of manufacturing experience and have demonstrated a leadership competency.
