    HollyFrontier located in Artesia, NM is seeking a Refinery Yield Analyst. The Refinery Yield Analyst conducts complex yields assignments with general supervision and acts as resource and lead position for less experienced personnel. 

    THIS POSITION IS NOT ELIGIBLE FOR INTERNATIONAL RELOCATION PROGRAM BENEFITS.

    ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: (functions considered essential as defined by ADA)   

    • Analyzes and maintains accurate daily refinery yields, determining profit and loss for the refinery
    • Works closely with Operations for process improvement efforts
    • Assists in Sigma fine (mass balance system) configurations and model changes
    • Approves daily production and consumption postings while taking monthly operating plans in consideration.
    • Monitors timely completion of routine to complex yields duties
    • Reconciles SAP and Sigmafine inventories daily/monthly
    • Assists in tank inventories reviews within the refinery and API Values
    • Reviews API criteria for current on hand inventory
    • Works closely with Process Engineering on monitoring of meters and flows in Sigmafine. 
    • Supervises and completes special projects as required
    • Provides training and guidance to less experienced personnel
    • Participates in Solomon Study every 2 years.

     

    Other duties may include some or all of the following:

    • May prepare and assist with EIA reporting as needed
    • May supervise taking of water cut and gauging of plant inventory
    • May measure volumes and track actual vs. budgeted volumes by site

    Special assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their superior, as determined from time to time in their sole and complete discretion.

    EXPERIENCE:

    A minimum of nine years of related job experience is required.

    EDUCATION:

    A minimum of a High School Diploma is required.

    REQUIRED SKILLS:

    Ability to perform complex yield analysis. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft products.  Ability to manage projects and assignments with extreme accuracy and efficiency. May require ability to manage and analyze detailed inventory movements for multiple locations, depending on location. Ability to effectively communicate with others, both written and verbal communication, ability to perform intermediate mathematical calculations, intermediate reading and writing skills.

    SUPERVISORY/MANAGERIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Acts as resource and lead position for less experienced personnel.

    WORK CONDITIONS:

    Office based with occasional refinery visits from time to time. Sometime will be required to work in petroleum refinery environment. Subject to all weather, including out-of-doors and varying road conditions. May be required to work flexible hours.
